Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Daycare Attendant to join our team. This position involves supervising and engaging with dogs in our daycare, ensuring their safety, and maintaining a clean and stimulating environment. Daycare begins at 6:30 a.m.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and interact with dogs in playgroups, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Monitor dog behavior and intervene as necessary to prevent conflicts.

Clean and sanitize play areas, kennels, and common areas to maintain hygiene standards.

Provide basic care, including feeding, administering water, and ensuring all dogs receive proper attention.

Assist with check-ins and check-outs of daycare clients.

Communicate effectively with pet owners about their dog’s day and any behavioral observations.

Follow facility protocols and safety procedures.

Qualifications:

Passion for working with animals, particularly dogs of all sizes and breeds.

Previous experience in a pet care environment is a plus but not required. You will take a Red Cross dog first aid and safety course as well additional training in dog body language and group dynamics.

Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, running really fast to chase dogs during playtime).

Strong observational and communication skills.

Ability to work well in a team and follow established procedures.
