Dog Boarding FAQs
-
Every overnight dog boarding stay at Pawsome Park & Lodge includes comfortable accommodations, supervised potty breaks, individualized feeding, fresh water, attentive care, and plenty of exercise and enrichment throughout the day. Our goal is to make your dog's stay feel as comfortable and stress-free as possible while you are away.
Leaving your dog is the worst part of any trip — the nagging worry that they are scared, bored, or stuck in a cage all day. Because we are a members-only facility, your dog boards alongside familiar, vaccinated, behavior-assessed dogs and a team that already knows your dog's name, routine, and quirks. That is a level of consistency a traditional kennel simply cannot offer, and it is why our members actually relax on vacation.

-
Yes. Dogs approved for group play participate in doggy daycare activities during their boarding stay at no additional charge. This keeps your dog active, engaged, and happily tired before bedtime — which means better rest for them and fewer worries for you.
A tired dog is a calm dog. Instead of pacing a kennel and stress-barking, your dog spends the day playing with friends and the night sleeping it off. That is included, not an upsell.
Book a boarding stay with daycare built in — your dog plays all day at no extra cost.

Pawsome Park & Lodge has 24 walk-in kennels in a variety of sizes, plus a dedicated Solo-Boarding option for senior dogs, dogs recovering from surgery, or dogs that simply prefer their own space over social playgroups. Each kennel comfortably accommodates two dogs from the same household and includes a bedding area, a designated eating space, and a potty area when needed for senior pups.
Walk-in means exactly that — no stacked wire cages, no cramped crates your dog can barely turn around in. These are ground-level, room-sized accommodations. Whether your dog is the life of the party or needs a quiet corner to decompress, we have a space designed for their comfort. With only 24 kennels, holiday weeks book out fast.

Absolutely. We administer most oral and topical medications and follow detailed feeding instructions provided by owners. We regularly care for dogs with allergies and special dietary needs.
For a lot of owners, this is the dealbreaker question — they have been turned away elsewhere because their dog needs a pill twice a day or a specific food. Not here. If your dog has a medical condition, just discuss it with our team before booking so we can plan the right level of care from night one.
Have a dog with special needs? Message our team in MoeGo and we will build the care plan together.
-
No. Dogs remain safely inside our climate-controlled facility throughout their boarding stay. The only exception is dogs enrolled in a dedicated Board & Train program that includes a customized plan with outdoor walks, urban training, or real-world distraction work — and any off-site or outdoor activity is discussed and approved with the owner in advance.
That means no surprise outings, no unfamiliar handlers walking your dog down a busy street without your say-so. Your dog stays in a secure, temperature-controlled environment unless you have personally signed off on a training plan that calls for more.

Yes. We provide daily report cards during your dog's stay that include photos and videos of their activities, playtime, and interactions. We also keep you updated on how your dog is doing — eating habits, water intake, behavior, and overall wellbeing — so you can enjoy your time away with genuine peace of mind.
There is nothing quite like opening your phone on a trip and seeing your dog mid-zoomie, tail up, having the time of their life. That photo is the difference between a vacation spent worrying and one spent relaxing.
-
Live camera access is not available at this time. We keep you connected through daily report cards with photos and videos, plus regular updates from our team on your dog's eating, activity, behavior, and overall wellbeing throughout the stay. If we add live camera viewing in the future, we will announce it to our members.
In the meantime, our daily report cards give you the highlights that actually matter — how your dog ate, how they played, and how they are settling in — without you having to refresh a grainy feed all day.
Reserve a boarding stay and we will keep you posted every day.
-
We strongly recommend scheduling a few doggy daycare visits before your dog's first overnight boarding stay. These daytime visits let your dog get familiar with our staff, our facility, our routines, and the other dogs — which significantly reduces stress when it is time to spend the night.
A dog who already feels at home boards far more comfortably. Think of daycare as a few low-pressure practice runs: by the time the overnight comes, this is just "their place" with "their people," not a scary new building. First-timers who do this transition beautifully.
Ease your dog in — book a few daycare days first, then add the overnight.
-
Book as early as possible. Holiday periods and school breaks are our busiest times and can fill up weeks or even months in advance. With only 24 kennels, the dates everyone wants — Thanksgiving, the December holidays, spring break, summer travel — go first.
Here is the math: a limited number of kennels plus the most popular travel weeks of the year equals a hard cutoff. The owners who plan ahead get the spot; the ones who wait scramble for a backup. Do not be the backup.
Holiday travel on the calendar? Reserve your dates now in MoeGo while space lasts.

Yes. We ask that all boarding dogs be picked up by 7:00 PM whenever possible. After 7:00 PM, our team begins evening care routines — feeding, administering medications, preparing accommodations, and helping dogs settle in for the night. A late pickup fee of $9 per hour, per dog applies to pickups after 7:00 PM.
The fee is not about nickel-and-diming you — it is about protecting the calm, consistent evening routine that helps every boarding dog wind down and sleep well. If you anticipate running late, just contact us as soon as possible so we can plan ahead and keep your dog comfortable.
Questions about pickup timing? Reach our team — we are happy to help you plan.
